Personal page of Dr.-Ing. Mathias Möhl

I am working in the field of RNA bioinformatics, and I am in particular interested in the algorithmic aspects of the optimization problems that are relevant in this field. So far, I have worked on RNA structure prediction, RNA-RNA interaction, and RNA alignment. In particular I developed new algorithms for pseudoknot structures and developed faster variants of existing algorithms using certain sparsification techniques. I also have a background in computational linguistics and grammar formalisms.
